We are currently seeking a lead Life Skills Specialist to collaborate with our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals and guide our clients in their recovery journey. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct care and support to adults in treatment for substance use or behavioral health issues. 
  • Monitor client behavior and ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of individuals in care. 
  • Support and contribute to a structured therapeutic milieu and recovery-oriented environment. 
  • Participate in the implementation of treatment plans by: 
  • Observing and reporting client progress and behaviors to the treatment team. 
  • Maintaining communication with clients, internal team members, and external stakeholders (e.g., family, care managers). 
  • Encouraging and supporting client participation in scheduled program activities. 
  • Facilitate and co-lead educational, life skills, and recovery-focused groups (e.g., coping skills, relapse prevention, daily living skills). 
  • Provide orientation to new clients regarding the program, facility expectations, and available resources. 
  • Teach and reinforce recovery principles, including the foundational concepts of 12-Step programs such as AA and NA. 
  • Assist with transporting clients to appointments, meetings, or approved community outings as assigned. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to client activities, behaviors, and program participation. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic physical environment in accordance with program and safety standards. 
  • Complete administrative or clerical tasks that support client care and overall program functioning. 
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required. 
  • Adhere to facility policies, including safety, security, and infection control protocols. 
  • Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor while interacting with clients, staff, and external partners. 
  • Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information. 
  • Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications 

Education, Licensure, & Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field.
