Make a Meaningful Impact in Substance Use Recovery
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS) to join our Jacksonville, NC team. This role provides high-quality clinical services to individuals impacted by substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges in a supportive, structured treatment environment.
This position is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about recovery-oriented care and collaborative treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive client evaluations addressing behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and social needs

Facilitate group therapy, individual sessions, family sessions, and clinical assessments

Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Clinical Record (ECR)

Participate in utilization review (UR) processes and provide required clinical documentation
-
Assist with aftercare planning and outcome data collection
-
Contribute to curriculum development, clinical resources, and staff education
-
Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned
-
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and provide crisis intervention when needed

Complete all required trainings and comply with program and company policies

Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Active LCAS licensure in North Carolina (required)

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field

Experience in substance use, mental health, trauma, or co-occurring treatment settings preferred

Valid driver’s license required
