Peer Support Specialist / Administrative Assistant

🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday
💲 $18-$21 per hour

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, organized Peer Support Specialist / Administrative Assistant to support our Franklin Outpatient Program. This hybrid role blends peer-based recovery support with front-office and administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both client-facing and operational support functions.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Front Office

  • Manage front office operations and maintain a welcoming, professional environment

  • Schedule client appointments and manage intake paperwork

  • Answer phones and perform clerical duties (filing, copying, faxing, mailing)

  • Maintain accurate medical records and administrative logs

  • Assist with intake processes, billing sheets, census, and discharge tracking

  • Order and manage office and client supplies

  • Coordinate office equipment service and vendors

  • Attend staff meetings and record meeting minutes

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and CARF standards

Peer Support Services

  • Provide peer-based support using lived recovery experience

  • Assist clients in building long-term recovery and community supports

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team

  • Maintain contact with referral sources as directed

  • Document all client interactions accurately and timely

  • Provide transportation to community resources as needed

  • Participate in emergency services rotation, including crisis support


Qualifications

  • NC Peer Support Specialist Certification required

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred

  • Administrative or front-office experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to transport clients, as needed

  • Professional, empathetic, and client-centered approach

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Proficiency with computers, phones, and office technology
