Facilities Supervisor Position Available in Mills River, NC
Salary: $46,000 - $55,000 per year
Schedule: Monday - Friday with emergency on-call services
Summary
The Facilities Supervisor will oversee and execute the daily maintenance and housekeeping operations, ensuring all aspects of cleanliness, safety, and repair are maintained to the highest standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Safety Committee to maintain and update the Safety Handbook, ensuring facility staff receive proper safety orientation and policy updates.
- Ensure timely completion of routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
- Provide regular status updates to the Program Director.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly walkthroughs in accordance with program standards.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on Key Performance Indicators related to employee and client experience and operational efficiency.
- Maintain relationships and coordinate services with approved vendors and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical work, building maintenance, and HVAC systems.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To successfully perform this role, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Competence in maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical work, structural repairs, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to maintain repair records and prepare related reports.
- Capability to handle crisis situations and respond appropriately.
- Ability to perform equipment and facility repairs.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderately quiet and indoors. This position will require local travel and will be scheduled based on operational needs; therefore, the incumbent must provide their own transportation. The incumbent may be exposed to viruses, diseases, and infections from clients in the work environment, as well as potential exposure to traumatic situations (e.g., psychiatric incidents).
