Our Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT) provide a "hospital without walls" program that delivers high-intensity behavioral health services directly within the community, catering to individuals who may lack access to essential care. ACTT comprises a comprehensive team of professionals from various disciplines, offering tailored services to address clients' mental health, substance use, vocational, and housing needs. This initiative significantly enhances outcomes for individuals with severe mental illness who are at heightened risk of psychiatric crises and are impacted by various social determinants of health.

October Road operates six Assertive Community Treatment Teams across the state of North Carolina, covering multiple counties. We are currently seeking an experienced clinician or ACT Team Leader to support our ACT team in Jacksonville, NC, and the surrounding areas. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday Full Time & Day time hours

Salary: 65k - 70k per year

Licensure Requirements/Experience:
- LCSW(A), LCMHC(A)
- Three years of clinical experience with severe and persistent mental illness, with a minimum of two years post-graduate school.
- Five years of clinical experience with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred.

Scope of Position:
The Team Leader will provide clinical leadership and oversight in collaboration with psychiatric care providers, manage team operations and staffing, and ensure the systematic delivery of treatment and social services, including case management, individual, group, and family therapy. The Team Leader is responsible for maintaining effective communication among staff, consumers, families, and external resources to foster collaboration and continuity of treatment, and will actively participate as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities also include assessment, treatment, and discharge planning. The Team Leader must present themselves and the service line in a knowledgeable and professional manner, while maintaining positive relationships with referral sources, stakeholders, payors, and TMACT.

Education and Experience:
A graduate degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. The Team Leader must be a licensed mental health professional holding any of the following licenses: licensed psychologist, licensed psychological associate, licensed clinical social worker, licensed professional counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist certified as an advanced practice psychiatric clinical nurse specialist. The Team Leader should have three years of clinical experience with severe and persistent mental illness, with a minimum of two years post-graduate school. Five years of clinical experience with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred. Experience should also include family, group, and individual therapy/counseling, along with proficiency in the supervision and management of substance abuse and mental health services across various modalities and populations.
