Counselor – Jacksonville, NC
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team in Jacksonville, NC. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.
Schedule: Full Time
Location: Jacksonville, NC
Pay Range: $53,000 – $57,000 annually
Requirements

Licensure: LCSW or LCMHC (associate-level licensure accepted; full licensure not required).

Preferred: LCASA (or willingness to obtain).

Must hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

Experience within the mental health, trauma, eating disorder, or substance use domains preferred.
Position Summary
The Counselor is responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to clients, including groups and assessments, in accordance with Pyramid Healthcare’s standards and clinical philosophy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct client evaluations, including behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and social needs assessments.

Facilitate all clinical services including group therapy, individual sessions, family sessions, and assessments.

Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment goals in collaboration with the treatment team.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic clinical record (ECR).

Provide documentation and support for utilization review and participate in the UR process.

Assist in developing aftercare plans and participate in outcome data collection.

Contribute to curriculum development, literature review, and ongoing staff training.

Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned.

Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and provide crisis intervention when necessary.

Complete all required trainings and adhere to program policies.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field required.

Licensure: LCSW, LCMHC, or associate-level equivalent (required).

LCASA strongly preferred; must be willing to obtain if not held.

Valid driver’s license required.
