Senior Vice President of Operations

The Senior (Sr.) Vice President of Operations will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the growth of all services they oversee. The Sr. Vice President of Operations will be tasked with building new programs in collaboration with stakeholders from the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of fiscal, regulatory, accreditation, and business operations across assigned facilities
- Manage business aspects of facilities, including marketing, referral development, and support services
- Lead the start-up and integration of new service locations within the region
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing program directors and key managers
- Ensure adequate staffing levels across programs while fostering employee engagement and reducing turnover
- Guide teams to deliver services aligned with defined standards and service definitions
- Collaborate with program directors and referral sources to ensure timely, client-centered care
- Review detox protocols and length of stay to optimize outcomes and efficiency
- Partner with program managers to adapt programming to changing client needs
- Develop and oversee budgets in collaboration with program managers
- Monitor, track, and evaluate financial performance to meet fiscal and operational goals
- Manage resources responsibly to achieve cost containment and fiscal discipline
- Champion policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure service excellence
- Establish clear goals and courses of action to ensure effective completion of work
- Promote a strong customer service philosophy throughout the region
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and alignment with the organization’s mission and values
- Complete all required trainings mandated by the organization and licensing/accreditation bodies
- Stay current on regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational success
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervision of all VP of Ops staff at assigned facilities/programs
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensure, & Experience
- 3-5 years management experience in the D&A or Mental Health field, preferably in a development position
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in business management, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field) or other related field with 3-5 years of experience in human service agency including supervision, direct service and program planning
- Master’s Degree preferred Degree from an accredited college with a major in business management, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field) or other related field with 3-5 years of experience in human service agency including supervision, direct service and program planning
- Extensive experience in clinical treatment and management of clinical programs
- Experience managing multiple facilities thorough knowledge of substance abuse and mental health systems and treatment modalities
