High Focus Centers – Center City, PA
Pay: $53,000–$57,000 annually

High Focus Centers in Center City has an extensive history of providing high-quality outpatient treatment in Pennsylvania through its subsidiary programs: Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope. With comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, High Focus Centers is an invaluable resource for adults and teens suffering from substance use, mental health, and/or eating disorders.

Schedule Options

  • Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
    OR
  • Option 2: 3 evenings per week, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, plus 2 additional days, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible scheduling within these parameters)

Summary

The Assessment Counselor engages and supports the clinical team by assisting with the completion of Level of Care Assessments (LOCA) and supporting the admissions and intake process.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to clients
  • Collect demographic and clinical history information relevant to the LOCA
  • Explain and facilitate signatures for Releases of Information (ROI) and admission paperwork
  • Support the admission process by coordinating with Licensed Counselors when clients are ready for the clinical portion of the LOCA
  • Gather information and complete precertification for managed care clients when applicable
  • Assist in identifying appropriate placement for clients
  • Collaborate with therapists, admissions, and marketing teams
  • Participate in case consultation with the clinical team
  • Maintain up-to-date scheduling in collaboration with admissions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensure & Experience

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college in a clinical discipline that includes a clinical practicum
