October Road of Asheville is actively seeking Weekend Behavioral Health Technicians to join our exceptional team dedicated to working with adults in our facility and sober living environments.

 

Pay: $17 per hour plus a shift differential of up to $1.50, depending on the shift you work.

 

Schedule: Part Time Weekends

 

Summary

This position plays a crucial role in the delivery of residential and outpatient treatment services. As a direct care provider, your primary responsibility will be to interact with and supervise clients in treatment, as well as provide transportation services for Pyramid Healthcare clients. You will assist both clinical and administrative teams in identifying and meeting client needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete the intake process for new clients entering the program.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation.
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
  • Coordinate client activities.
  • Follow the objectives of treatment plans and address client-specific needs.
  • Provide transportation for clients.
  • Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients, providing appropriate responses including crisis intervention.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
  • Assist with clients' dietary needs.
  • Transport clients to and from specified locations within expected time frames.
  • Supervise and support clients during transportation.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation associated with the services provided.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Licensure, Education, & Experience (All States)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of hire with a safe driving record.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds, with infrequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet and indoors. This position will require local travel and will be scheduled based on operational needs. The incumbent will be required to provide their own transportation. Exposure to viruses, diseases, and/or infections from clients in the work environment is possible. Additionally, the incumbent may encounter traumatic situations (e.g., psychiatric emergencies).
