Behavioral Health Technician (1st Shift)

Tapestry in Lake Ariel, PA is currently seeking dedicated Part Time Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) for our 1st shift.

Schedule: 8 AM to 3 PM. Part Time

Pay: $17 per hour 

Our Behavioral Health Technicians play an essential role in the daily operations of our facility. They are responsible for positively engaging with our clients, supporting them in their daily treatment programming, and fulfilling various tasks that contribute to our mission. We are looking for candidates who can collaborate effectively to meet our clients' needs while fostering positive, therapeutic relationships. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role:

• Assist with the intake process for new clients entering the program.
• Communicate with staff, either verbally or through communication logs, ensuring detailed client documentation.
• Listen to clients regarding all aspects of their treatment while maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
• Coordinate and facilitate activities.
• Conduct mandatory bed checks as required by the department and complete bed-check sheets for shift reporting.
• Ensure that the client schedule is adhered to daily.
• Assist with interventions for clients as necessary.
• Follow the objectives outlined in treatment plans.
• Monitor the medication line.
• Conduct searches upon intake or as required.
• Monitor treatment for necessary safety and medical needs.
• Uphold therapeutic boundaries and adhere to the staff code of ethics.

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Some mental health experience is beneficial, though this position can be suitable for entry-level candidates.
• Experience in facilitating groups or activities is preferred but not mandatory.
