Summary: 

Our Langhorne residential program provides gender-specific, individualized recovery services for adult men and women in Bucks County and surrounding areas. Our program also teaches women how to safely cope with physical, psychological and emotional trauma without the use of substances, empowering them to overcome feelings of victimization and move toward a life of wellness and personal growth. Men in our treatment program at Langhorne live on-site in a structured setting where they receive education, therapy and medical care to assist them in working through personal issues and ultimately overcoming their addiction. We are looking for a Behavioral Health Technician to monitor clients, assist with interventions, follow treatment plans, and drive the clients to appointments.

Shift: 

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm 

Pay:

$16/hour before shift differentials

Shift Differential Information: 

7:00am - 3:00pm - Saturday and Sunday ($1.00 extra for shift differential) 

3:00pm - 11:00pm - Monday - Friday ($1.00 extra for shift differential) Saturday and Sunday ($1.50 extra for shift differential) 

11:00pm - 3:00pm - Monday - Friday ($1.50 extra for shift differential) Saturday and Sunday ($1.50 extra for shift differential)

Note: You will have a company vehicle to use during your shift and there is a company gas card to pay for the gas in the vehicle. 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior experience in hospital or behavioral healthcare environment, patient care, and/or transportation is a plus. 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

  • Active valid driver’s license CPR course required within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of various safety trainings upon hire 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with intake process with new clients into program.
  • Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for detail client logs.
  • Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment, maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
  • Coordinates activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Mandatory bed checks conducted as required per department, complete bed-check sheet for shift reporting.
  • Ensures client schedule is being followed daily.
  • Follows objectives of treatment plans.
  • Monitor medication line.
  • Transports clients to meetings and recreation.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances
  • Possible exposure to patient elements Handles emergency or crisis situations
  • Subject to many interruptions and pressure to multiple calls and inquiries
  • Occasionally subject to irregular hours
  • Handles absentee replacement on short notice
  • Personal protective equipment (masks) required when transporting patients
