Behavioral Health Technician Lead (Full Time)

Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the supervision of clients and BHTs during assigned shifts. This role ensures adherence to protocols, providing support and reporting issues to the Program Director/BHT Manager as needed.
Shift: 3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00am - usually includes 1 weekend day in weekly schedule
Pay: $17/hr before shift differentials.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians and provides performance feedback.
- Orients and trains new staff to the unit and program.
- Assists in interviewing and hiring BHTs.
- Communicates with staff through verbal and written logs.
- Assists with employee disciplinary actions and develops employee schedules.
- Conducts employee performance evaluations.
- Assists with client interventions and item confiscation.
- Listens to clients and BHTs concerning treatment areas.
- Coordinates activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings with Lead BHTs.
- Follows treatment plan objectives and maintains a therapeutic environment.
- Evaluates the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
- Attends necessary trainings and schedules BHTs for training sessions.
- Attends facility meetings and coordinates BHT department meetings.
- Performs clerical duties as needed and other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous clinical experience preferred, especially in behavioral health or healthcare.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve by gathering and analyzing information.
- Ability to handle crises or potential risk situations appropriately.
- Working knowledge of federal and state standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to uphold staff code of ethics and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
