Behavioral Health Technician Manager

Summary:
Coordinate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) scheduling and cross-facility coverage to significantly reduce training and overtime. Provide feedback and role modeling to staff, ensuring they are trained and knowledgeable about their job functions. Advise clinical staff on clients' goals and progress. Ensure completion of required training for all BHTs.
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (start and end times may vary based on schedule discussions with the manager).
Pay Range:
$41,600 - $50,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor BHT staff engagement and provide regular direct supervision to the BHT department.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules (programming for BHTs).
- Collaborate with other team members to create programming for the BHT department.
- Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
- Assist in the training of new staff members.
- Intervene in client crises using the least restrictive procedures necessary.
- Monitor department documentation to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate transportation needs throughout the facility.
- Attend treatment team meetings, shift changes, and company meetings as required.
- Develop orientation, curriculum, and training programs (new and ongoing).
- Evaluate training needs, department performance, and system changes.
- Manage confiscation and inventory of client items.
- Assist Human Resources with recruitment and interviewing of new BHTs.
- Participate in the disciplinary action process for BHTs and BHT Supervisors.
- Conduct performance evaluations for the department.
- Complete required training and mandatory training hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide training and daily guidance to the BHT team, including making daily facility rounds. Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians, BHT Leads, and BHT Supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required.
