Location: Mills River, NC (Silver Ridge)
Schedule: Overnight, Full-Time
Pay: $17.00 – $18.50 per hour (plus shift differential)

Pyramid Healthcare’s Silver Ridge program is seeking a compassionate and reliable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our overnight team. In this vital role, you’ll support clients in recovery, ensure their safety and comfort, and help maintain a positive, therapeutic environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome and assist new clients during the intake process

• Communicate effectively with staff through shift reports and client logs

• Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive environment, including crisis intervention when needed

• Monitor client activities and ensure adherence to daily schedules

• Conduct bed checks and document per policy

• Support clients by following treatment plans and therapeutic objectives

• Monitor medication lines and assist with client interventions

• Conduct safety searches as needed

• Coordinate and facilitate activities for clients

• Distribute snacks and attend to basic client needs

• Provide training and guidance to new staff members

• Help maintain facility cleanliness and organization

• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

• License: Valid driver’s license required

• Experience: Mental health or substance use treatment experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome)

• Group or activity facilitation experience a plus

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to remain calm, objective, and decisive in crisis situations

• Team-oriented mindset with flexibility and adaptability
