Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our overnight team in Mills River, NC. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in mental health, substance use treatment, or healthcare—entry-level candidates are welcome.

What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting clients and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include:

• Assist with client intake and orientation into the program

• Maintain detailed client documentation and communication logs

• Monitor client safety, behavior, and emotional needs

• Conduct required bed checks and complete shift reports

• Ensure daily client schedules and treatment plans are followed

• Support crisis intervention and therapeutic activities

• Monitor medication line and assist with safety checks/searches

• Coordinate and facilitate activities and group programming (as needed)

• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and uphold staff ethics standards

• Assist with facility upkeep and unit organization

• Train new staff on unit procedures and milieu expectations

• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Valid driver’s license (required)

• Behavioral health or mental health experience preferred, but not required

• Experience leading groups or activities is a plus
