Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (PRN)
SUMMARY: Our Behavioral Health Technician serves in a direct care role with the primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program provides treatment paths for both men and women for substance use disorders, methamphetamine and other stimulant use, and co-occurring disorders. Additionally, it has a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction.

This allows clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim their health and well-being.
PAY: $15/hour before shift differentials
SHIFT: Per diem - working as needed with a minimum of 4 times per month
WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:
- 1st Shift: Saturday and Sunday $1.00
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday $1.00; Saturday and Sunday $1.50
- 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday $1.50; Saturday and Sunday $1.50
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.
- Maintain client documentation.
- Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
- Coordinate client activities.
- Follow treatment plan objectives and address client-specific needs.
- Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients, providing appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
- Assist with clients' dietary needs.
- Complete all required training.
- Other duties as assigned.
LICENSE, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: Due to the nature of behavioral healthcare work and our commitment to ensuring client safety, candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
