Tapestry is currently seeking an Overnight Behavioral Health Technician to join our exceptional team in Brevard, NC!

Schedule: 3rd Shift Overnight Full Time
Pay: $17 - $18.50 per hour with shift differential

*Please note that Tapestry Brevard will be relocating to Fletcher, NC in the coming months. Candidates must be willing to commute to our Brevard location during the transition to our new facility in Fletcher, NC.*

Job Duties:

• Assist with the intake process for new clients entering the program.
• Communicate with staff verbally or through communication logs, ensuring detailed client documentation.
• Listen to clients regarding all aspects of their treatment, while maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
• Coordinate activities effectively.
• Conduct mandatory bed checks as required by the department and complete the bed-check sheet for shift reporting.
• Ensure adherence to the client schedule on a daily basis.
• Assist with client interventions.
• Follow the objectives outlined in treatment plans.
• Monitor the medication line.
• Conduct searches upon intake or as needed.
• Monitor treatment for necessary safety and medical needs.
• Uphold therapeutic boundaries and adhere to the Staff Code of Ethics.
• Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide constructive input.
• Distribute client snacks as necessary.
• Train new staff on unit operations, program details, and milieu.
• Assist with the upkeep of the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Some mental health experience is preferred, though this position can be entry-level.
• Experience facilitating groups or activities is preferred but not required.
