Addiction Counselor
Full-Time | Bluff Recovery – Augusta, GA
Salary: $45,000 – $52,000 per year (based on experience)

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our treatment team in Augusta, GA. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing group and individual counseling, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining high standards of care and documentation.
Licensure Requirement:
Candidates must hold active Georgia certification as a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients and their families.

Collaborate with the treatment team to develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinical standards and accreditation requirements.

Facilitate all assigned clinical services, including group, individual, and family counseling sessions.

Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the Electronic Client Record (ECR) system in accordance with program policies.

Provide necessary documentation to support utilization review processes and participate as needed.

Support the development of aftercare plans and contribute to the collection of client outcome data.

Assist in program curriculum enhancement, clinical training, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Participate in on-call rotation and provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure client safety.

Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required.

Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients and staff.

Complete all required trainings and uphold program standards.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) in the state of Georgia (required).

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; higher education in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field preferred.

Experience in substance use treatment, mental health, or trauma-informed care strongly preferred.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.

Valid driver’s license required.
