SIlvermist Recover in Renfrew PA is seeking a Counselor to join their amazing team!

Salary: 53k - 57k per year

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

Summary: This position is responsible for facilitating all clinical services for the program, adhering to facility standards and aligning with the program's clinical philosophy. The role encompasses evaluating client needs and actively contributing to the development and implementation of treatment goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients and their family members, regularly consulting with the treatment team to develop and advance treatment goals in accordance with clinical policy and accreditation guidelines.
  • Facilitate comprehensive clinical services for clients, including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and communication with referral sources and outpatient providers as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records for clients with proper documentation of clinical services and client engagement in the Electronic Clinical Record (ECR), in compliance with program policy.
  • Provide timely documentation and support for utilization review, participating in the Utilization Review (UR) process as specified in program policy.
  • Engage in the development of aftercare plans and outcome data processes as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of program-specific curriculum, conduct literature reviews, and provide training in alignment with the clinical philosophy.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as directed by the supervisor and in accordance with program policy.
  • Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required.
  • Ensure a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, including crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Complete all mandatory training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • For non-ASAM aligned programs serving clients with Substance Use Disorders, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
    • A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field), or another related field.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent educational qualifications and one year of clinical experience.
    • An Associate’s Degree with equivalent educational qualifications and two years of clinical experience.
    • Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certification body that is a member of a national certification body, or certification from another state's substance abuse counseling certification board.
    • Current licensure as a registered nurse in this Commonwealth, holding a degree from an accredited nursing program, along with one year of counseling experience.
    • Current licensure as a physician in this Commonwealth.
