Location: Newport News, VA
Schedule: Weekend availability required
Licensure Required: LPC, LCSW, Licensed-Eligible Resident, or CSAC

Position Overview
As a Counselor, you will play a key role in guiding clients toward lasting recovery. This includes delivering high-quality clinical services, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to a therapeutic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, in alignment with clinical policies and standards.

Facilitate individual therapy, family sessions, and therapeutic groups.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Provide documentation and support for utilization review as needed.

Coordinate with referral sources and outpatient providers.

Assist in the development of aftercare plans and track client outcomes.

Contribute to curriculum development and participate in staff training initiatives.

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, including effective crisis intervention when necessary.
Qualifications

Licensure: LPC, LCSW, Licensed-Eligible Resident, or CSAC (required).

Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (preferred).

Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
