Counselor / Therapist (Full Time)

Summary:
Our Dallas inpatient rehab center provides detox and residential programming for adult men and women living in or near Luzerne County. We respect every individual’s autonomy to define their recovery, embracing the multiple-pathways-to-recovery approach to treatment, including both medication-assisted treatment or an abstinence approach. Our Counselors provide individual and group therapy and are responsible for facilitating all clinical services for the program as outlined by facility standards and in accordance with the clinical philosophy of the program.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Pay: $47,500 - $50,000 based on experience and education
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients and family members, consulting with the treatment team regularly to develop and progress towards treatment goals in accordance with clinical policy and accreditation guidelines.
- Facilitate all clinical services for clients, including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and referral source/outpatient provider contact as applicable.
- Maintain clinical records for clients with appropriate documentation of clinical services and client program engagement in ECR in accordance with program policy.
- Provide documentation and support for utilization review in a timely manner and participate in the UR process as outlined in program policy.
- Participate in aftercare plan development and outcome data process as applicable.
- Contribute to program-specific curriculum development, literature review, and training in accordance with clinical philosophy.
- Participate in on-call rotation as directed by supervisor and in accordance with program policy.
- Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, including crisis intervention.
- Complete all required trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling AND either a LMFT, LSW, LPC, or CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor) or must be working towards obtaining a LMFT, LSW, LPC, or CAADC.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling AND a CADC OR are working towards a CADC AND 1 year of counseling experience (group therapy/individual therapy/family therapy).
- An Associate’s Degree with the same educational requirements and 2 years of clinical experience.
- Experience in facilitating process group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy.
- Experience in treatment planning.
- Preferred: Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health settings.
