Join Our Team as an Intake Clinician at October Road!

October Road is actively seeking a dedicated Intake Clinician to become a valued member of our exceptional team in Asheville, NC.

This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $59,000.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college.
  • Required Licenses: LCAS A, LPC A, or LCSW A.

Position Overview:

The Intake Clinician will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting screenings and level of care assessments utilizing clinical expertise.
  • Facilitating appropriate admissions to various levels of care based on Locus and/or ASAM criteria.
  • Making suitable referrals to community resources and external opportunities that serve the best interests of our clients.
  • Completing all necessary assessment, admission, and related paperwork for clients to initiate treatment promptly, including NCTOPPS, authorizations, PCPs, and crisis plans.
  • Managing admission pre-certification with funding sources.
  • Collaborating effectively with facility staff to ensure the consistent implementation of programs.
  • Providing coverage for other evaluation counselors in the region as requested by the Supervisor.
  • Maintaining a small caseload of clients for weekly group therapy sessions.
  • Delivering assessment services to referral sources, including county juvenile justice centers, county jails, and other forensic and/or mental health settings.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Contributing to the maintenance of a robust clinical program.
  • Ensuring staff collaboration to meet client needs effectively.
  • Interacting with referral sources to facilitate timely and effective client services.
  • Cooperating with professional liaisons to support ongoing marketing and referral communication efforts.
  • Completing all required and mandatory training hours.

Education and Experience:

  1. A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with a focus in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  2. Preferred Licenses: LCAS and LPC or LCSW.
  3. Required Licenses: LCASA, LPCA, or LCSWA.
  4. Experience in mental health/substance abuse services and level of care assessments is preferred.
