Pyramid Healthcare in Augusta GA is seeking a Intake Coordinator Supervisor.

  • Requirements: Bachelors degree and CADC/CAC in GA
  • Full Time w/ Benefits

Principal Results Expected:

  • Direct supervision of Intake Coordinators Coordinate continued stay for detox clients to another Pyramid program Coordinate/monitor aftercare Clinicians, nurses can meet with clients to determine appropriate level of care needed next, Intake Supervisor would work with clinician and client to determine the appropriate program.
  • Coordinate step down to preferred aftercare provider (includes step-down to appropriate level of care if Detox, IP and PHP are denied upon admission).
  • Track referral patterns to other providers
  • Work with central admissions office to coordinate admits, discharges, bed availability.
  • Ensure bed board census is completed every morning
  • Ensure that detox bed availability is completed and updated throughout the day
  • Communicate changes in admissions/discharges (unplanned discharges, AMA’s, no-shows, etc.) with central admissions.
  • Complete intake paperwork on new admissions as needed.
  • Contact referral source, payer source, upon admission.
  • Obtain pre-cert if needed
  • Monitor/manage self-pay process (self-pay, co-pay, deductible, co-insurance collections).
  • Cross train as back-up/support for Utilization Review process, completing daily census, STAR data entry.
  • Monitor and update the finance folder as needed.
  • Oversee the entry of the authorization for people in this department.
  • Oversee the SCA funded clients enrollment in medical assistance.
  • Completes authorizations as needed and enters them into the finical folder.
  • Monitors detox authorizations and continued stay for MCO, SCA, and Private insurance.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Technical Competencies:

Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations knowledge of facility contracts and agreements Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of appeal and denial process Knowledge of composition of medical records Knowledge of data entry (primarily Excel) and mathematics Knowledge of pre-certification process, Knowledge of PCPC. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of CARF standards Knowledge of Release of Information and Confidentiality Knowledge of DSM IV Knowledge of private care managers and county referral sources Demonstrates the use of: 10 key calculator, Fax, PC knowledge, Microsoft Office (primarily Excel& Word), Shredder, copier. Provide the company with accurate information to ensure full financial coverage for each client day.
