Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time (Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week)
Pyramid Healthcare in Newport News is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician to join our dedicated team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing direct support and guidance to individuals on their recovery journey while also supporting a team of technicians in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the intake process for new clients.

Providing leadership and support to Behavioral Health Technicians during shifts.

Communicating effectively with staff through verbal and written logs.
-
Offering client support and actively listening to their treatment needs.

Ensuring a structured and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.

Coordinating and facilitating activities such as lectures, recreation, and group meetings.

Conducting mandatory bed checks and completing detailed shift reports.

Participating in shift changes, team meetings, and company meetings.

Monitoring adherence to client schedules and treatment plans.

Supervising the medication line process.

Transporting clients to meetings, appointments, and recreational activities.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience in a behavioral health or residential treatment setting strongly preferred.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
