Pyramid Healthcare’s Asheville Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver high-intensity behavioral health services directly in the community.
ACTT is often described as a “hospital without walls” — providing treatment, medication support, and crisis prevention to individuals with severe mental illness where they live. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals who value flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful community-based work.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate client care with prescribing providers and community healthcare partners.

Monitor medication compliance and support medication management.

Manage medication inventories, refills, and pharmaceutical supplies.

Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical documentation.

Provide medication education to clients and ACTT staff.

Transport clients to medical appointments and community resources as needed.

Travel throughout the community to meet clients where they are.

Participate in rotating on-call crisis services, including:

Crisis planning and support

Hospital diversion
-
Assistance with commitment procedures when appropriate

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Active North Carolina LPN license or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.

Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout Buncombe County, Marshall, and surrounding areas.

Experience in behavioral health, community health, or ACTT strongly preferred, but not required.

Comfort working independently in community-based and non-traditional care settings.
