Nurse Supervisor
Join Pyramid Healthcare and help lead a dedicated nursing team committed to providing compassionate, clinically sound care. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to support daily nursing operations, ensure high-quality client care, and contribute to a culture of excellence within our Concord facility.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in morning meetings and treatment team discussions; accurately relay information to unit staff.

Coordinate timely and safe discharges, ensuring clients receive prescriptions, medications, and follow-up instructions.

Identify, monitor, and support high-risk clients to ensure safety and continuity of care.

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date bed board; communicate admission updates, unplanned discharges, and other critical information.

Provide on-call support as needed; assist with shift coverage, staffing schedules, and workflow prioritization.

Collaborate with clinical, medical, and administrative teams to ensure holistic client care.

Participate in chart audits, identify improvement needs, and support corrective action plans.

Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) for accuracy and completeness.

Monitor detox protocols, including length of stay and clinical appropriateness.

Assist with client grievances, incident reports, and service recovery efforts.

Support the Nurse Manager with interviewing, onboarding, and disciplinary processes.

Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager regarding client concerns, staffing needs, and operational updates.

Oversee sample medication distribution and coordinate with the pharmacy to ensure cost-effective medication management.

Assist with prior authorizations and insurance-related clinical documentation.

Ensure labs are processed and reviewed; sign off on lab results and transcribe provider orders as needed.

Verify HCG test results before medication initiation in accordance with protocols.

Ensure proper consent procedures are followed with every client.

Provide direct nursing care including assessments, treatment planning, medication administration, vitals, detox protocol oversight, and supporting the medical provider as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Technical Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality regulations, and state licensing standards.

CPR, AED, and First Aid required (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to build positive, professional relationships with clients, staff, and external partners.

Commitment to quality improvement and organizational success.
Education & Experience
-
Current RN license in the state of North Carolina (required).
-
Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and regulatory bodies (CARF, DDAP, Office of Mental Health).

Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.

Excellent decision-making, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and manage competing priorities.
