Outpatient Therapist – LGBTQIA+ Adult IOP

About the Program

High Focus Centers in Center City, Philadelphia is proud to offer a specialized Adult LGBTQIA+ Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This trauma‑focused, person‑centered program provides a safe, affirming, and supportive environment where clients can openly explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to sexuality, gender identity, and orientation.

The program is facilitated by compassionate, strength‑based clinicians. Family and caregiver involvement is encouraged, with monthly family sessions designed to help navigate challenges within the home environment. About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Outpatient Therapist to facilitate IOP group therapy and provide high‑quality, evidence‑based clinical care within our Adult LGBTQIA+ program. Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate IOP group therapy sessions with a focus on trauma‑informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming care for adults with co‑occurring disorders.

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and insurance reviews.

• Coordinate care with families, caregivers, referral sources, and external providers.

• Maintain a minimum of 25 billable sessions per week while supporting overall program needs.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Complete additional duties as needed to support clinical and program operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health, or similar) from an accredited institution.

• Completion of a clinical internship or practicum.

• Experience facilitating group therapy in an outpatient behavioral health setting preferred.

• Familiarity with IOP levels of care and evidence‑based treatment modalities.

• Licensure preferred but not required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and within multidisciplinary treatment teams.

• Commitment to providing culturally competent, affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community.
