About Us:
High Focus Centers provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health treatment for adolescents and adults. Our programs specialize in treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders with evidence-based approaches in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Position Overview:
We are currently hiring Part-Time Assessment Counselors to join our intake team in Radnor and Havertown, PA. This role offers flexible scheduling options during daytime or evening hours, depending on candidate availability. The Assessment Counselor plays a vital role in initiating care by completing Level of Care Assessments (LOCA), coordinating admissions, and supporting clinical team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to clients and families.

Collect demographic and clinical history relevant to the assessment.

Complete all necessary admission paperwork, including Releases of Information (ROIs).

Coordinate with licensed clinicians to initiate the clinical portion of the LOCA.

Complete precertification for managed care clients as needed.

Identify appropriate treatment placement based on clinical presentation and program criteria.

Collaborate with therapists, admissions, and marketing teams to support client care.

Participate in clinical case consultations and team discussions.

Other duties as assigned.
Technical Competencies:

Understanding of mental health, substance use, and eating disorder diagnoses.

Skilled in assessment, documentation, and treatment planning.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, nursing (with clinical specialty), or a related human services field with the completion of a clinical based internship/practicum.
Preferred:
-
Active Pennsylvania license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD).

Prior experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder treatment settings.
