High Focus Centers is a premier provider of structured outpatient behavioral health services for adolescents and adults. We specialize in evidence-based treatment for mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, helping individuals and families thrive.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time Assessment Counselor to support the clinical team during the evening hours (approximately 3:00pm–7:00pm, Monday through Friday) at our Paoli, PA location. This role is instrumental in facilitating the intake and admission process through completion of Level of Care Assessments (LOCA) and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to new clients.

  • Collect demographic and clinical history relevant to the assessment process.

  • Review and complete all necessary admission paperwork, including Releases of Information (ROIs).

  • Coordinate with licensed clinicians to ensure smooth transitions to the clinical portion of the assessment.

  • Complete precertification requirements for clients with managed care, when applicable.

  • Identify appropriate treatment placement based on clinical criteria and client needs.

  • Collaborate closely with therapists, the marketing team, and the broader clinical staff.

  • Participate in clinical case consultations and support continuity of care.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of mental health, substance use, and eating disorder diagnoses.

  • Competence in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.

  • Familiarity with family systems, referral coordination, and ethical clinical practice.

  • Able to work effectively with diverse populations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty), or related human services field with the completion of a clinical based internship/practicum

Preferred:

  • Current Pennsylvania licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD).

  • Previous experience in addiction, mental health, or eating disorder treatment settings.
