Peer Support Specialist

Pyramid Healthcare is currently seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our ACTT Team in beautiful Mars Hill, NC!
Position Requirements:
- Peer Support Specialist Certification in NC
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
Hourly Range:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule:
Full-time
Job Duties and Expectations:
- Provide expertise based on lived experience while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
- Prepare and conduct reviews for referral sources, maintaining regular communication.
- Devise treatment plans that align with current mental health and substance abuse treatment strategies.
- Manage client records, including medical documents, releases of information, comprehensive care plans, and discharge/aftercare planning.
- Rotate responsibility for documenting daily staffing meeting minutes.
- Provide or arrange transportation for clients to access necessary community resources.
- Design and facilitate weekly social and educational groups.
- Respond to emergency services as needed, which may include commitment procedures, after-hour assessments, crisis planning, and hospital diversion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
