Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Day Shift
📍 Freedom Detox – Gastonia, NC
💰 $35 – $39/hour (based on experience)
Be Part of the First Step in Recovery
Freedom Detox, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Day Shift team in Gastonia, NC. In this role, you’ll provide essential medical and emotional support to clients as they begin their recovery journey, ensuring safety, dignity, and compassionate care throughout the detox process.
What You’ll Do

Lead and support LPNs in delivering high-quality client care

Complete initial nursing assessments for all new admissions

Administer medications and implement withdrawal management protocols

Perform COWS and CIWA assessments per program guidelines

Educate clients on medication use and treatment plans

Coordinate with medical providers for assessments and medication management

Maintain medical equipment and ensure proper functionality

Stay current with required trainings and policy compliance

Carry out additional nursing duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For

Active RN license in North Carolina (unencumbered)

Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications

Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred

Knowledge of co-occurring disorders a plus

Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in crisis situations

Commitment to professional ethics, compliance, and therapeutic boundaries
