Registered Nurse (PRN Overnight)

Freedom Detox, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our overnight PRN team in Gastonia, NC. This role is vital in supporting clients during the first critical steps of recovery from substance use disorders, providing safe, compassionate, and clinically sound care in a detox setting.
What You’ll Do

Guide and support LPNs in their client care responsibilities.

Complete initial nursing assessments for new admissions.

Administer medications and deliver withdrawal management protocols as appropriate.

Conduct COWS and CIWA assessments per protocol.

Provide medication education and ongoing support to clients.

Collaborate with medical providers for assessments and medication management.

Maintain medical equipment and ensure readiness for use.

Complete required trainings and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.

Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Current, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina.

Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.

Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred.

Knowledge of co-occurring disorders is a plus.
