💲 $50,000 – $60,000/year (commensurate with licensure and experience)

Pyramid Healthcare of Asheville is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our compassionate, client-centered team. If you’re passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use challenges and want to be part of a supportive, mission-driven organization, we want to hear from you.
💼 What You’ll Do:
As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based, holistic care to clients working toward recovery. You will:

Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions

Complete behavioral assessments and collaborate on treatment planning

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in our electronic record system

Engage in utilization review and aftercare planning

Support crisis intervention and provide Level of Care Assessments as needed

Participate in staff meetings, training, and on-call rotation
-
Help cultivate a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients
🎯 What You Bring:

Required Licensure: LCAS, LCAS-A, or Fully Licensed CADC

Education:
-
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

Accepted: High School Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree with CADC

Passion for supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team

Experience in trauma-informed care, mental health, or eating disorders is a plus
