Pay: $20/hour

At our Newport News facility, we are committed to supporting clients entering and exiting our detox and inpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs.
Position Summary
The Transportation Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of clients to and from our detox and inpatient SUD treatment programs. This role includes oversight of the transportation department, scheduling and supervising drivers, and directly providing transportation services when needed.
Responsibilities

Provide safe, timely, and compassionate transportation for clients to and from detox and inpatient treatment programs.

Staff the Transportation Department, including the orientation, training, and scheduling of drivers.

Supervise transportation staff and model appropriate driving and client care skills.

Complete all required reports and maintain documentation related to transportation operations.

Receive and respond to transportation calls/inquiries.

Attend meetings as required.

Respond effectively to emergency situations.

Work independently and manage departmental needs proactively.

Lift up to 50 lbs. if necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous transportation or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive in crisis situations.
