Pyramid Healthcare Opens First Residential Treatment Program in Virginia

ALTOONA, PA – July 5, 2021 – Pyramid Healthcare announced today the addition of Virginia to its existing behavioral healthcare treatment footprint with the opening of a residential substance use and mental health treatment program for adults in Newport News.

The residential treatment program in Newport News is Pyramid Healthcare’s first facility in the state of Virginia. Pyramid Healthcare’s network of 15 affiliated companies operates over 80 behavioral healthcare treatment locations for adults and adolescents throughout North Carolina, Georgia, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Beginning July 5, the 88-bed, non-hospital program in Newport News will provide individualized, medically supervised rehabilitation programming for adult men including inpatient residential and co-occurring disorders treatment, group and individual counseling, life skills development activities, self-help meetings, educational lectures and films, recreational therapy, and continuing care planning. A detoxification program and services for women will be available shortly thereafter.
