Pyramid Healthcare’s Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Facility Opens in Franklin

April 6, 2026 – Pyramid Healthcare, Inc., one of the nation’s leading behavioral health providers, announced the opening of its new licensed outpatient substance use disorder treatment facility in Franklin, North Carolina. The new Franklin Outpatient Treatment Program expands access to critical recovery services for individuals and families in Macon County and surrounding rural communities.
The opening of this facility reflects Pyramid Healthcare’s mission of bringing high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services to underserved and rural populations, where access to care is often limited by geography, transportation challenges and shortages of specialized providers. As a rural community in western North Carolina, Franklin faces many of these significant access barriers. Pyramid Healthcare has partnered with the region’s Medicaid managed care organization, Vaya Health, to expand access to comprehensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment for eligible individuals in the area.
“Pyramid Healthcare is honored to partner with Vaya Health to bring vital outpatient substance use treatment services to Franklin and surrounding rural communities,” said CEO Jason Hendricks. “This program represents our shared commitment to expanding access to evidence‑based care where it is most needed, ensuring individuals and families have timely, local support on their path to recovery.”
Located at 110 A Macon Center Drive, the new treatment center will offer structured outpatient services for individuals who are seeking recovery while continuing to manage work, school and family responsibilities. Services include substance abuse intensive outpatient program (SAIOP), standard outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric medication management, all delivered by a multidisciplinary team of licensed clinicians and medical professionals.
The Franklin Outpatient Treatment Program represents Pyramid Healthcare’s fourteenth location in North Carolina, further strengthening the organization’s extensive continuum of care programs across the state. Pyramid Healthcare’s services in North Carolina include withdrawal management, residential treatment, outpatient programs, methadone services, Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT), recovery housing and more.
Staff at the Franklin Outpatient Treatment Center will begin completing initial client assessments this week, with full programming scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13.
