Walden’s five Maryland locations – in California, Charlotte Hall, Harford County, Lexington Park and Waldorf – join Pyramid Healthcare Inc.’s other locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia.

Walden, a nationally recognized substance use and mental health treatment provider, has been serving adults and adolescents since 1973. The first member of Pyramid Healthcare’s family of companies located in Maryland, Walden provides an integrated model of behavioral healthcare services to residents of Maryland including residential treatment, outpatient services, and recovery support for adults and adolescents with substance use disorder, trauma and mental health needs.

Subsequently, Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. announced the expansion of Walden in Harford County, Maryland in June 2020 offering Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) as well as withdrawal management and short- and long-term inpatient and co-occurring substance use treatment for up to 52 men.
