ALTOONA, PA – May 4, 2023 – Asheville-based behavioral health provider October Road announced today the opening of an outpatient treatment program in Stokes County, North Carolina for adult men and women diagnosed with substance use and/or common mental health disorders including depression and anxiety.

Just seventeen miles north of Winston-Salem, the new location in Walnut Cove marks October Road’s third outpatient program in North Carolina along with Asheville and Mars Hill, offering individualized, evidence-based substance use and mental health treatment options for adults.

The rural Stokes County location will provide desperately needed services for Medicaid-covered, insured and uninsured individuals in efforts to remove barriers to care for the local community.

The experienced clinical team at October Road addresses substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges within a structured Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), while medical professionals will provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Individual and group counseling will be available as well as psychiatric services.
